When the dog trainer, Danny Spooner, picked up Stella and promised that she would be a rock star when he brought her home, I must admit I was a little skeptical but hopeful. He told me he had never had a disappointed customer and did not intend for us to be his first. When he brought her home and went through all the commands with us, I was amazed at what he could get her to do. Then he turned her over to us, and I was equally impressed with how easy it was to get her to listen to us. She will sit and lie down, staying there until we release her, even when someone comes to the door. We can place her somewhere, like her bed, and she will remain there until she is released. As impressive as that was inside the house, the real test for her was going outside. In the past, Stella would take off over the hill and just look at us when we tried to call her back, heading straight to the neighbors to play with their dogs. Our only option had been to take her out on a leash. So, the outside test began with Stella on a leash, learning to heel. She walked step for step with us. Then we dropped the leash, and she continued to heel. Eventually, we removed the leash entirely, and she still stayed with us. She is a boxer with a lot of energy, and playing fetch is one of her favorite games. Normally, after running off some of that energy, she would take off to find the neighbors’ dogs to play with. But today, way out at the end of the yard, I asked her to sit and lie down. She laid down in the yard, and I walked back to the house. She stayed there for over 10 minutes before I released her, at which point she came directly to me. Danny managed to help Stella keep her high-spirited personality while also becoming a well-mannered dog that listens to commands. We are so happy to have Stella and to see her do whatever we ask. I think Danny and Stella are both rock stars.

Danny is determined to ensure that Ramses and I have a good life built on clear boundaries and ingrained positive behaviors. He takes the time to explain the concepts behind the techniques so I can truly understand them. The level of care my boy received while with Danny and Jeannine was exceptional. Not once did I worry that my baby was not being well cared for, and that is evident in how affectionate my dog is with them. I honestly cannot say enough positive things. As I have said, my life has changed and continues to change. Danny may very well have saved my dog's life. I feel happy and confident with the balanced training approach, and beyond that, I believe I have made a lifelong friend in the process. Our German Shepherd, Mr. Merlin, was a very naughty boy. He wouldn't listen to commands or behave, he was rough on our little dogs and would not and I mean would not deal with us on him life would actually do a death roll like and alligator! Danny and Jeannine are miracle workers! He tested us a bit while Danny stayed and helped us learn commands but he soon got that we weren't going to given in to bad behavior! It is a 100% turn around! They kept me informed and sent pics and videos! I am so thankful for Danny and Jeannine! Their service is a life time service, if he slips they will come back and help us get him back in line!
